In addition to cover star Jennifer Lopez, Glamour magazine has named Chelsea Handler “the queen of the night” and ‘Glee‘ star Lea Michele “the diva next door” in its annual “Women of the Year” December issue. Jennifer, Chelsea and Lea will all be celebrated at a gala event at Carnegie Hall in NYC, along with eight other winners from entertainment, business, art, fashion and politics.
Chelsea on lightening up her nether regions:
“First it was laser hair removal. You put yourself through that torture, and then it’s ‘Sorry, laser hair removal’s out of style!’ And you’re like, What? So I’m not going to be tricked into this other thing. I might put a Crest Whitestrip up there, but I will not go and bleach it.”
On her famously candid humor:
My mouth has gotten me in trouble my entire life. I just happen to be making a career out of it.”
Lea on making no apologies for her aspirations:
“Women in powerful positions get labeled with the D word, but you have to use your diva-ness for good as a way to show your strengths.”
The issue hits the newsstands November 8th.
