Prince William & Kate Attend "War Horse" UK Premiere
Just a day before she celebrates her 30th birthday, Kate Middleton dazzled in a floor-length Alice Temperley dress as she took to the red carpet alongside Prince William for the UK premiere of "War Horse" on Sunday evening (January 8).
Held at Odeon Leicester Square in London, United Kingdom, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge braved the wet weather as they joined 600 serving and ex-serving military personnel and their families at the debut screening of the Steven Spielberg motion picture.
According to reports, Will and Kate made the appearance in aid of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, with Spielberg telling press that he was "delighted" that the premiere was benefiting the royals' charity.
"War Horse encapsulates for me a timeless personal story of courage," the legendary director told. "The movie, which I am proud to say was filmed here in Great Britain, deals with the discovery of humanity against conflict, and celebrates bravery, loyalty, tenacity and hope."
Steven added, "We are honored to dedicate this event in aid of the Foundation which recognizes the welfare of those who serve their country in the British Armed Forces."
